I offer weekly one-hour mindfulness practice sessions, available both in-person and via Zoom, for hospitals, companies, non-profits, and universities. These sessions are designed to help individuals reduce stress and anxiety, promoting healing and overall well-being.
Mindfulness training helps patients manage stress, anxiety, and pain and improves health and healing. In addition, it helps patients develop greater bodily awareness, empowering them to actively participate in their own healing process.
Regular mindfulness sessions reduce stress and enhance morale and productivity. Individuals learn stress management techniques, work-life balance strategies, and methods to improve mental health and reduce anxiety and burnout. These practices foster a more mindful approach to work and life, leading to increased effectiveness in all endeavors. Participants engage in real-time mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques, including breath work, body awareness, and gratitude practices. After these sessions, many participants report feeling more open, relaxed, creative, and joyful.
Each one-hour session includes a participant check-in, brief instruction, guided practice, and resources for daily use. I believe that "an ounce of practice is worth a pound of theory," so half of each session is dedicated to practice. This practice often involves guided stress-reduction through mindfulness meditation, incorporating breath work, gentle stretching, self-massage, and grounding in sensory awareness. Sessions may also include practices such as Mindful Self-Compassion, Loving Kindness Meditation, Gratitude, and Poetry. If you'd like to join a free introductory session, please contact me.
